Our Board VP, Ray McGury of RJM Strategy Group, offered a Safety & Self-Defense session for our residents. It was a full house. At Martin Avenue, we strive to provide residents with a safe and secure community! Learn More: https://martinave.org/
At Martin Avenue Apartments, our goal is to foster an environment that helps our residents live an active lifestyle while feeling a sense of community. We do that by offering our residents the ease of independent living through a plethora of easily accessible programs and amenities.
Martin Avenue residents began collecting aluminum pop tops before and during the pandemic to donate to the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Edward Hospital & Health Services. Following their pop tops collection, they then did a building-wide collection through the month of June for food and toy donations based on the Family Room’s “wish list." Fourteen residents contributed food and toy items totaling about 75 pounds, two donated cash and one gave a gift card. On the morning of June 28, residents made the donation to the Family Room. We are so happy to be able to support Edward Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in our own backyard!
This is what life at Martin Avenue is like on a Friday night! Don't believe us just watch! Our Summer Social & Dance was a huge hit. We hosted 80 residents in our courtyard, complete with dinner by Belgio's Catering and a DJ.
Thanks to the Dupage Senior Citizens Council for visiting us and sharing important information about their many services for community seniors. Besides providing dinners, their volunteers do wellness checks, friendly phones, and so much more!
Talk about a sweet treat and the perfect way to end the summer! Thank you to the NAPERVILLE JUNIOR WOMAN'S CLUB for hosting our residents at the Ice Cream Social last week. From delicious ice cream to exciting entertainment from The Acoustiholics, a fun time was had by all!
We cherish our valuable partnership with Midwestern University - College of Dental Medicine, where their students regularly visit our residents to provide oral health guidance. One of their dental students, Paige Madden, has decided to further support our community through her Fellowship program by dedicating her time to volunteer on a monthly basis for the next year. The importance of oral health and the associated cost of dental procedures remain significant challenges for the elderly.
At Martin Avenue Apartments, our dedicated staff is the heartbeat of our community. Our residents continually express their gratitude for the exceptional care they receive, from our Property Manager, Tony Hacker, to our diligent maintenance team. We extend our appreciation to Evergreen Real Estate Group for helping us establish this exemplary senior community in DuPage County!
We had an amazing time celebrating with residents at our Christmas party! Laughter and joy resonated through Martin Avenue as everyone delighted in the music show, gifts, lunch, and a visit from Santa! A heartfelt appreciation to the NEH Board of Directors and our community sponsors for making this joyful occasion possible. Special thanks to Belgio's Catering, City of Naperville, Illinois, Government, and the Association of Senior Service Providers for helping us put on this event!
Throwback to the sweetest Valentine’s Day dance party at MAA! Our amazing staff members Charity and Bridget orchestrated a fabulous event, complete with a charming balloon photo wall, a delectable sweet table, groovy music, and plenty of dancing. Our residents had an absolute blast, showing once again their love for themed parties and connecting with neighbors!
Celebrating St. Patrick's Day at Martin Avenue was a blast! Our Executive Director, Mary Kerbs, and Bob, the Quigley's Pub leprechaun, delighted our residents with a lively music show and an exciting Irish Trivia contest! Plus, our residents indulged in a delicious corned beef lunch and a delightful dessert spread. A huge thank you to Quigley's Irish Pub for bringing the luck of the Irish to our community!
Our recent Bistro Friday breakfast had quite a special guest appearance! Thank you Mayor Scott Wehrli for joining us for our morning social, and for all of your support for Martin Avenue Apartments.
Thanks to the ongoing support from the Naperville Park District, our Gardening Club has access to garden plots once again! We've already started rolling up our sleeves and diving back into the joys of gardening! A huge thank you to the Naperville Park District for their ongoing support and commitment to our community. With their help, our residents can continue to nurture their green thumbs and cultivate beautiful gardens.
